Gotta keep up....
Just about every week, the Dems apparently all meet up at their regular propaganda outlets like the NYT and get their weekly marching orders. Because it's so contrived and banal, it has invaluable comedic value if, of course, you don't take it too seriously. But the message changes so frequently, I've decided that we've got to keep a running record of the indoctrination of the left in order to try to understand where they're coming from and what delusions they're under when we meet them in debate.
Here are the first on my list (please let me know if there are others that go further back--as I said, it's voluminous as well as vacuous and tends to fade quickly):
Culture of Corruption--a favorite that the Dems and MSM have glommed onto lately. Of course, if this Administration demonstrates a "culture of corruption," I wonder what illegal campaign contributions by way of bypassing DoD limits on the transfer of sensitive missle technology, committing perjury in a Civil Rights case, and having 3 Cabinet members indicted at various times during your administration would earn you?
Grim Milestone--yes, yes, yes. It is grim. It's sad. It's tragic. But so is 9-11. So are the hundreds of Israelis who were blown up by bombers funded by Saddam. So were the dozens of villages razed to the ground by Saddam's regime. So were the hundreds of thousands of dead on both sides of the Iraq/Iran war. So were the thousands of innocent Kurds gassed to death. So are the daily emanations from the MSM that openly try to undermine the war effort. And finally, so was Saddam's refusal to cooperate with weapons inspectors and refusal to disarm voluntarily. All of these are far more tragic in my mind that the loss of 2,000 SOLDIER'S lives in order to free 50,000,000 people from fascism and despotism and take the fight to the terrorists. But that's just me. And those in the military who serve. And those who are rebuilding. And just about anyone who eschews the daily grind from the NYT and WaPo and major networks in favor of more objective coverage. In fact, if you want good news, go here:
Good News from the Front
Wheels are Coming Off--yes, but again, only in the minds of those who want it to be so. Dems still haven't figured out that Bush isn't running again. And for all the blather about how Republicans are losing support, are in trouble, etc, etc, the choice for most Americans still comes down to choosing between sanity and insanity. Pelosi/Kennedy/Dean? I mean, really...
Conservative Crackup--what the left perceives as a "crackup" is actually evidence that the debate has left them altogether and is now exclusively in the domain of the Republican Party. The Democratic Party is quickly becoming irrelevant. But don't try to convince them of that. And truthfully, I wish it wasn't so. It cheapens the debate in this country and makes us weaker as a nation.
Check back and we'll try to keep up with the Dems' weekly blather.
